This has been a hectic week filled with mini-milestones.
First up is Patty. A fellow Stash Knit Down member, she volunteered to test knit the April Showers Spa Cloth. She chose a bright and
cheery hot pink (Sugar & Cream Solid) from her stash. Isn’t it lovely?
In addition to the test knit, Patty shared useful feedback about the pattern and agreed to let me feature her photo. Thank you again, Patty, I truly appreciate all you’ve done. Be sure to visit her project page here.
On Tuesday, I released the pattern for April Showers. This isn’t a big deal for you, but it’s a moderately big deal for me. Sure, I’ve posted tips and how-to instructions both here and on Ravelry. Yes, I’ve designed knit items and written patterns – for myself. When many of you asked for this particular spa/dish cloth pattern, however, it seemed time to (gulp) take the next step and publish it.
Lastly, while I can’t speak for you, my life tends to be somewhat complicated, so I gravitate toward knitting projects that are simple,
fast and easy. This week, I finished the first phase of a new design that meets
all those criteria. That’s another FO of sorts, right?
It’s been a productive week. Three FOs – but of course only two of them
are mine.
Which brings us back to the main point: Before you dash away, do take another look at Patty’s spa cloth. Isn’t
it pretty in hot pink?
Have a lovely weekend
and a very happy Mother’s Day! (And yes, there's still time to knit a few April Showers Spa Cloths if you need a last-minute gift.) Meanwhile, it's FO Friday at Tami’sAmis.
Patty's FO is wonderful ~ I love how different colors help stitch patterns pop! Congratulations again.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Evelyn. Like you, I love how Patty's skill and color and yarn choices show off that stitch combo. Isn't it lovely?

ReplyDeleteOn Patty's behalf, let me say thank you. Her cloth is so delightful and cheery, isn't it?
DeleteDelightful! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Noni. As others have noted, I love how Patty's technique and yarn/color choices really pop.
DeleteThank you all for your nice comments about my spa cloth! I'm going to give credit the credit to Barbara and her great pattern!
ReplyDeleteYou're being too kind - and too modest. While I'm delighted the pattern worked well for you, the qualities that make your cloth shine come from your skill and your choices. Thank you, again!
