FO | April Showers Too

Out in the great big knitting world, it's FO Friday. In my little corner of the universe, it appears to be frantic Friday, so I'll keep this short and sweet.
April Showers - Front & Back
April Showers - Front Only

Highlights
Pattern: April Showers Spa Cloth
Yarn: Royal Bamboo (Plymouth Yarn)
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm)
Ravelry notes: Here
Dimensions:  7 x 7 inches (+/-)

It's goofy, I know, but I'm still enjoying this simple pattern, which uses the reversible cable rib stitch. The Royal Bamboo creates a very fine, drapey fabric with a nice sheen. It might make a pretty washcloth set for a new mom and baby.

Other things are in the works, but we'll have to wait and talk about them next week. (I knew you'd understand.)

Yes, the photos leave much to be desired, but I have to run. Enjoy your weekend, and don't forget, it's FO Friday at Tami's Amis.

  1. Very pretty set. How does the bamboo do after a dunk in water? I made a scarf once from bamboo and it grew and grew and grew!

    1. That's my experience, too, bamboo can grow a lot. In this instance, it grew about one-half to one inch in length and width. In a scarf, I can see where that tendency could quickly get out of hand.

  2. I love how the cables look in this yarn! Such pretty colors, too.

    1. Glad you like them, and yes, this yarn does tend to nicely highlight the cables.
