WIP | More Last-Minute Knits

Like many of you, I've been busily knitting in the background and have accomplished more than I can share right now. So, we'll just have to focus on what is suitable for pre-holiday public consumption, right?

First, I've been finishing up another pair of Last-Minute Mitts. To accomplish this, I've been using this handy little tool.

Yep, that's exactly what it looks like, the tube from a roll of toilet paper. Here's how two of them look in action.

And here's the result.

In other news, I may have accidentally cast on for a Last-Minute Cowl to go with the Last-Minute Mitts.

For those of you who've asked about the pattern for the Last-Minute Mitts, it's in the final stages and I'm tweaking it for clarity. If you're looking for a quick knit for a last-minute gift, stop back Friday.

Have a lovely day, one and all.

Don't forget: It's WIP Wednesday once again, so check out the lovely people and their lovely work at Frontier DreamsSmall Things and Tami's Amis.

  1. I am seriously intrigued about why/how you used that toilet paper roll... The mitts look great. I have 2 pair that I wear at work while I'm on the computer but have been thinking about knitting another pair. I have to have ones that match my outfit. LOL.

    1. Ditto: My office tends to be cold, so I wear mitts every day to keep my hands from freezing. And I, too, like to coordinate them with what I'm wearing. Aren't we funny?!

    1. Thank you! The yarn is Pacific from Morehouse Farms. Very soft to knit and it softens even more with blocking.
